What is collected
If you use the contact form, your name, email address, any company name and phone number, and what you write in the message are stored. It is used only to answer your enquiry.
Video tapes and digitised material
I do not watch your tapes from start to finish. During the work I may see short parts for quality control, and the beginning and end to trim correctly. The digitised files are kept for 30 days at most, as a guarantee in case something goes wrong, and are deleted after that. I never share, publish or distribute your material.
Visitor statistics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which measures visits without cookies and without tracking individuals across websites. No data is sold or shared.
Google Analytics
The website, including the campaign page about digitising video tapes (devision.fi/digitalisera-vhs-hi8/), uses Google Analytics 4, but only if you say yes in the box shown when you arrive. Until then no Google code is loaded and no cookies are stored. If you accept, anonymous usage data is collected: which pages and parts of pages are shown, how far you scroll, which buttons and links you click, on the campaign page also the calculator choices (number of tapes and the price shown), how far you get in the forms and where it goes wrong (never what you typed), device type, browser, approximate location (region), the referring page and a random id in cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id. I never send names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or free text to Google. IP addresses are not stored in GA4. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and the data is not used for advertising. The data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Google processes the data on my behalf and may handle it outside the EU/EEA with safeguards. You can change your mind at any time with the link Cookie settings at the bottom of the pages. Measurement then stops and the cookies are removed. Whatever you choose, your browser keeps (in sessionStorage, until the tab is closed) which campaign link or page you came from, and it is sent with your request so I can see how you found me. Your choice in the box is also saved in your browser (localStorage).
Meta Pixel (Facebook)
The campaign page about digitising video tapes (devision.fi/digitalisera-vhs-hi8/) uses the Meta Pixel, but only if you say yes in the same box as for Google Analytics. Until then no Meta code is loaded and no cookies are stored. If you accept, Meta (Facebook) learns that you visited the page, which pages you saw, device type, browser, your IP address and an id in the cookie _fbp. I never send names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or free text to Meta. The purpose is to measure and improve my advertising on Facebook and Instagram, for example to see how many visitors come from an ad. Meta is responsible for its own handling of the data and may process it outside the EU/EEA with safeguards; see the Meta privacy policy. You can change your mind at any time with the link Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Measurement then stops and the cookie is removed.
How did you find me
In the request form on the digitising campaign page you can optionally say how you found the page and, if someone recommended it, who. The answer and the name are only sent in the e-mail to me, so I know which channels work and can thank whoever recommended me. The name is never sent to Google Analytics. Only a rough category, such as Facebook group or Google, goes to Google, and only if you have accepted measurement. If you arrived through a link or QR code with a campaign tag I do not ask, as the source is already known. You can leave the question unanswered.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept as long as they are needed for the conversation and deleted afterwards. You can ask me to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data exists about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Email mats@devision.fi and I will sort it out.
